For parents
Your child does the thinking. Maya helps. You see the progress.
Maya helps children understand the path, not just reach the answer. You get a progress summary, and their chats with Maya stay theirs.

What your child experiences
They start
Maya opens with what they tried, not with a ready-made explanation.
A mistake is part of the way
A wrong answer becomes the next thing to work on.
The last step is theirs
After the help comes a similar problem, which they solve alone.
What you see, and what you don’t
You see
- A progress summary by topic, over time.
You don’t see
- Your child’s chats with Maya.
That way children can make mistakes and ask questions freely.
What you should know
Younger learners
In grades 1–7, an account needs a parent link or the school’s approval.
Your child can invite you
From their ALMA profile, they can send you an invitation.
Your data
Data can be exported or deleted.
Questions parents ask
Does Maya solve the problem for my child?
Maya starts from what they tried and asks a question that moves them one step forward. After the help comes a similar problem, which they solve on their own.
What happens when Maya gets something wrong?
It can happen: she is an AI, and her replies are generated by Google Gemini. That is why she shows the steps and not only the answer, so every step can be checked.
What do parents see?
A progress summary by topic. Parents don’t see the chats with Maya.
How do you join?
By personal invitation, usually through a school. There’s no open self-registration right now. The app is in Hebrew.
Do I need to pay?
There is no payment step in ALMA today.
Which ages is it for?
Grades 1–12 and pre-academic programs. In grades 1–7, an account needs a parent link or the school’s approval.
What if my child is in distress?
Maya is a math teacher, not a counselor. Signs of distress are detected without AI, and a member of the school staff gets an alert.
Can the data be deleted?
Yes. Data can be exported or deleted. The full details are in the privacy policy.
How do parents join?
Your child sends you an invitation from their ALMA profile.
Want to try ALMA, or bring it to a school?
Today ALMA accounts open by personal invitation through a school. Join the waitlist, or tell us about a school we should reach out to.
Hi, I came across ALMA, a math learning platform with an AI teacher called Maya. What caught my eye: she doesn’t give children the answer; she asks what they tried and helps them find the next step. Parents get a progress summary without reading the children’s chats. Joining is only through schools. Worth checking whether it suits us?
